Sequoia Brass & Copper sells alloy 936 tin bronze. The high leaded tin bronzes contain the most widely used bearing bronze alloy C932 (also known as SAE 660). Lead weakens these alloys but imparts the ability to tolerate interrupted lubrication. It also combines favorable antifriction properties with good load-carrying capacities and will conform to slight shaft misalignments.
This product has excellent wear performance and can be used on unsmooth shafts and unhardened surfaces. 936 tin bronze comes in sand cast plate, solid bar, and cored bar and is cut to order with your specifications. A common fabrication process for 936 tin bronze is casting and is typically used for industrial equipment, engines, and different types of bushings. C936 bronze applications are used in steel mills, oil refineries, and compressor manufacturers.
